Leicester director Brendan Rodgers has commended the managing of his summer death of Harry Maguire and hailed as the’remarkable’ defender’s impact at Old Trafford.
Rodgers occurred over at Leicester in February.
Rodgers disclosed that he has maintained a relationship with his former player, with Maguire place to face his former team for the first time since his departure in Old Trafford on Saturday.
“I text Harry nevertheless today, wish him the best when he had been playing with England,” Rodgers said on Thursday. “He was a remarkable man and a wonderful player and for me personally, his behavior in the period he was here, actually typified him to get a man.
“Although it was so difficult for him right the way throughout the summer, by the end of the season right the way through… I will always have a large respect for him for that.
“He is a good guy and he has gone in there and you’ll be able to see he has made them .”
Leicester attained the break third and second from the Premier League table – three points clear of United, that have neglected to back up an astonishing opening weekend.
Saturday’s meeting between the sides has been charged as a match which could be critical in the struggle to get a top-six finish come the season’s end.
Wondering if United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might have chosen Maguire’s mind for specifics about Leicester’s strategic strategy, Rodgers stated:”I don’t think so.
“Knowing how the game works, most of the analysts do a good deal of the work.
“I would not have believed he (Solskjaer) could have spoken a lot with Harry.”
